Recreation

Finding something to do in Palm Coast  doesn’t require looking too far or too hard.  Whether you want to stay active or simply be outside enjoying the wonderful year-round weather, you won’t run out of choices.  If you are interested in playing 18 holes, you can choose from one of Palm Coast’s championship golf courses and if tennis is your game, choose from one of 52 courts of varying surfaces.

Palm Coast offers an abundance of opportunities for the local fisherman to cast a line.  From freshwater lakes to saltwater canals to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, you can fish for something different every day.  And in you would rather be on the water, you can kayak, jet ski, water-ski, surf, or just relax on your boat.

Flagler County Beaches offer the perfect escape for sunbathing, swimming, or just strolling along watching the breath taking sunrise over the Flagler Beach Pier. Lifeguards are on duty near the pier during peak season and unlike many beaches, alcohol consumption is allowed on all beaches in Flagler County.  Annual fireworks displays on New Years Eve and July 4th blast off from the end of the pier making the beach the perfect place to view the spectacular shows.  Walking and bicycle trails abound in one of the three state parks: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, Bulow Plantation Ruins State Park, and Washington Oaks Gardens State Park.  Or you can visit one of the other 24 county parks including Princess Place Preserve, Bings Landing, Haw Creek Preserve, and Flagship Harbor.
